A small group, a real tutor
About 5–6 people per walk, led by an experienced iPhotography tutor. On bigger walks, multiple tutors come along. Plenty of one-to-one time, no shouting at the back.
Relaxed UK photography walks led by an iPhotography tutor. Meet a small group of fellow photographers, walk a planned route, learn as you shoot. Beginners welcome — absolute first-timers too.
Three things every iPhotography photo walk gets right.
About 5–6 people per walk, led by an experienced iPhotography tutor. On bigger walks, multiple tutors come along. Plenty of one-to-one time, no shouting at the back.
Every walk follows a pre-designed route through spots chosen for their photographic story. You shoot, you chat, you learn. Bring water and good walking shoes — we'll bring the photography.
Some walks finish with a virtual editing session on Zoom — we review your photos together, fix what's fixable, and you leave with the full A-to-Z of the day.
A two-day iPhotography photo experience through one of England's most photogenic cities. Small group, planned route, tutor on hand the whole way — and every place on this one has now gone.
Two days walking Oxford with a small group and an iPhotography tutor. Honey-stone colleges, the Bridge of Sighs, Christ Church Meadow, the Bodleian, the back streets nobody photographs. Bring whatever camera you've got — we'll bring the route and the teaching.
This walk is now fully booked. Keep an eye on this page for new walk dates, or join the “hear about future walks” list and we'll tell you first. Fancy something longer? Take a look at the F/65 Group photography workshops.
All iPhotography photo walks are subject to a minimum group-size booking. If the threshold isn't met, the walk may be cancelled and refunds issued. Over-18s only.

A photo walk is a few hours. A workshop is a few days. Here's how they stack up — pick the one that suits you.
If a one-day walk feels too short, this is what the longer F/65 Group workshop trips look like — a few minutes from one of our recent tours.
If your question isn't here, drop our team a line through the FAQ & Help page.
No. Photo walks are designed for beginners and amateurs — we've taught absolute first-timers how to take better photos in just a few hours. The tutor walks at the pace of the group; nobody's left behind.
Around 4–6 hours, following a pre-designated route designed for the best photo opportunities along the way. Selected walks also include a virtual editing session on Zoom afterwards, so you can edit and review your photos together.
About 5–6 people per walk — small enough that everyone gets time with the tutor. On larger walks we bring extra tutors so the ratio stays sensible. We also set a minimum group size; if a walk doesn't hit it, we'll cancel and refund.
Both. Some walks have a clear theme (street, landscape, architecture, etc.) and the day's teaching is tailored to that. Others are open — bring whatever you fancy shooting and the tutor will work with you. Each walk's page will say which it is when bookings open.
Any camera you've got — DSLR, mirrorless, compact, even your phone. A bottle of water, snacks, and shoes you can walk in for a few hours. The tutor will let you know in advance if a specific lens or accessory will help on a given route.
Yes — photo walks are for over-18s only.
A walk is a few hours in a single UK location with a small group of photographers. A workshop is a multi-day photography holiday — hotels, organised travel, multiple days of shooting, UK or international. The comparison further up the page breaks it down properly. The longer-form version lives on the F/65 Group workshops page.
Every place on the September Oxford walk has gone. New dates go on this page as soon as they're set, so it's worth checking back — and if you'd like to know first, drop your details in the form and we'll email you before the next walk goes public.
The F/65 Group workshops are the longer version of a photo walk — a few nights in the UK or abroad, hotel, breakfast, internal travel and tutors included, in a small group with a proper itinerary. Wild Yorkshire, 4–8 July 2027, is booking now, with Toronto and Belgium on the way.
